Terms of service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract in order to use Resumeon.

2. Your account

Authentication is provided by Clerk. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us at support@resumeon.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your content and ownership

You own the resume content, cover letters, and other material you create on Resumeon. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you, for example to save, render, and export your resume. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not sell it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• upload content that is unlawful or that infringes the rights of others;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• resell or abuse the Service or its AI features; or
• submit another person's information without their authorization.

5. AI features

Resumeon offers AI-assisted features. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided as a drafting aid only. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before you use it. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, including interviews or job offers.

6. Plans, billing, and payments

• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize the applicable charge.
• Annual plans do not auto-renew. We will not charge you again without a fresh checkout.
• Monthly subscriptions renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
• Prices and plan limits are shown at checkout and may change on a forward-looking basis, but a change never affects a term you have already paid for.

7. Refunds

We offer a refund within 14 days of purchase. To request one, email support@resumeon.com.

8. Cancellation and termination

You may stop using and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or that we reasonably believe create risk or legal exposure. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, and the data-deletion practices described in our Privacy Policy apply.

9. Intellectual property

The Service itself, including our software, design, templates, and trademarks, is owned by Resumeon and protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our branding or software beyond using the Service as intended.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will result in any employment outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resumeon will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Resumeon harmless from claims arising out of your content or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
